Days of Our Lives characters come and go, they change, and sometimes it’s for the best. And sometimes it’s not. But we all know that there are people all over this show who are good with what they’re doing and sometimes they have to change. We’ve seen a lot in more than fifty years, and we thought we might just bring you some of our favorite female character transformations from across the years. Sometimes people come back with a brand-new personality, and we like it. That doesn’t mean they’re nice, but we always see some changes that make us realize writers know just what they are doing. Do you agree with us, or do you think that these transformations were the worst?
Sami Brady
She definitely goes down as being one of the most amazing character transformations on the show. She’s one of those people who just doesn’t get any better, but we love her either way. She began her career on the show being someone else. She was a teenage girl who once decided she would sell her baby sister on the black market so she could get what she wanted. That’s the kind of person she was. She was not a good person. She did not make good choices. She did not do good things.
She wasn’t even all that likable for a long time. In fact, many people disliked her so much that they didn’t want to see her back. She blackmailed her own mother at one point. She broke up her sister and her sister’s boyfriend to get what she wanted. She made poor choices, and they were among the poorest of the poor choices. She was a mess of epic proportions, and we don’t know that she can come back from that. However, she’s made a change. She grew up, and she decided to do the best things for herself. She’s now a business woman who is successful, good at what she does, and she’s not living a life that she doesn’t want to live. She’s still got her issues, but she’s going to make better choices and be a better person because of it. She’s someone who doesn’t make the best choices as a person all the time, but she’s good to go in her time here. She’s changed more than anyone.
Kate Roberts
Kate is one of our favorite people. She’s never not looking out for herself and what she wants, and she’s never not in a place where she’s not making decisions that will change her life. She’s not always the best person, but she’s good. In fact, she’s a lot better than she was in the past. She was once a woman from the wrong side of town who seriously had some bad times in her life. She had some moments she’s not proud of. In fact, there was a time when she was a woman who sold her own body to make money. But she’s come around, she’s done good things with her life, and she’s changed.
She finally took herself out of the mad house and she found a way out. That way out might have been by giving Victor Kiriakis a son of his own, but she’s done it. She’s managed to get into one of the most powerful families in Salem and she’s made it work for her. She’s a business woman who doesn’t want to see her family name go down in history. She wants to make sure she gets what she wants all the time, and she’s that much better for it. She didn’t do what most people thought she would do. She rose above.
Nicole Walker
Now that she’s back and she’s with Eric again, we thought we might just go back in time and see how this all ended up. She was a mess. She’s actually still a mess, to be honest. But she was a much bigger one. She was a woman who was a gold digger. She dumped him, left him for no reason other than that she wanted to be with a man who had more money, and she found herself with a doctor who got her addicted to drugs and left her behind. But she’s back, she’s better, and she’s look for love.
