Now that the election is over we can focus on Saturday Night Live who will likely give this election one last bout of comedy. And who better to get that ball rolling than Dave Chappelle? Everyone in the free world is extremely pumped to see Chappelle back on national television when he hosts SNL this Saturday with musical guest A Tribe Called Quest. Some people might be disappointed in the new promo that was recently released but I think it’s great. There’s no Chappelle having fun with cast members. There’s no attempt at humor. There’s nothing. It’s just Dave Chappelle taking an elevator and walking around 30 Rockefeller Center.
Sometimes I wish that movie trailers did this more often. Rather than release what’s happening SNL went the mysterious route and went the “you are so psyched right now” route. Look, we all know that Dave Chappelle is going to be amazing (let’s hope he had a hand in writing a lot of his sketches) but we’re all wondering what the hell he’s gonna do and say. I have a feeling that after this election it’s going to be insane.
Put it this way. If it’s anything even resembling his work on Chappelle’s show, we’re in for a serious treat. Welcome back Dave!
