Not one, but two crazy Star Wars conspiracy theories in one week? Not bad. Earlier we posted the theory that C3PO was really part of Darth Vader’s Imperial Army and acting as a spy. I found that one to be not as believable as the famous Jar Jar Binks being a Jedi one. However, today I stumbled across another theory that’s gaining a bit of traction online. It was posted on April 3rd of this year but today it’s making the rounds. It posits that Snoke is really Anakin’s evil twin brother. Yes, I know it sounds crazy but have a look at it.
The theory comes from Redditor Darby_Piper:
I know there must be a lot of these but I’ve never seen this theory before so I’m hoping it’s somewhat original. Before I start I just want to say that I believe Snoke is most likely a new character who isn’t connected to any others. This theory is for if that isn’t true.
A lot of people think that Snoke is Darth Plagueis but my theory is that Snoke was CREATED by Plagueis. There isn’t much evidence to back this up, but we know that Plagueis could (apparently) create life. Now from what I understand, Plagueis did attempt to create life but the experiment ended up being a failure because the force sensed what he was doing and created Anakin in retaliation.
Please correct me if I am wrong but this info comes from Legends, correct? Meaning this could still be true but some things can be changed around. So I propose that Snoke was created by Plagueis but he kinda “came out wrong” due to the force pushing back. That’s why Snoke looks the way he does. This could also mean that Anakin and Snoke were created at roughly the same time.
We know that Snoke has come from beyond the Star Wars galaxy. I think that when Palpatine killed Plagueis, he also tried to kill Snoke (which could be the cause of his appearance instead of being somewhat of a failed experiment). We know Palpatine wouldn’t want a “rival” around, so this makes sense. Snoke must have fled the galaxy during the time of the empire or even before when he was first almost killed by Palpatine.
This theory also explains why Snoke’s and Plagueis’ themes are so similar. So what do you guys think? I would love to hear why this theory works or why it doesn’t.
So what do you guys think? You buying this? The unfortunately part of this is the lack of evidence. I always wondered if the writers and directors of these films just sit back and laugh at all these theories. They’re probably saying, “Dude, I had no idea about any of this. I just wrote what I thought was cool.”
