The death of former Myspace star Christine Dolce, who was better known on the social media network as “ForBiddeN” is actually something pretty personal to me. Back in the very early days of Myspace, Dolce had a then record 2.1 million friends. In the modern day she’d be the biggest Instagram or Twitter star. To be 100% honest I don’t even think I would have a career if not for some of the bigger stars of Myspace. Back when Myspace was huge I used to post pictures of those popular “stars” and write commentary about them just like you see today with the stars on Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
It’s just that back then it wasn’t as big. But if not for “pioneers” like Christine Dolce the lot of us who write for a living may never have gotten a start.
Christine built an enormous following after posting tons of pics with her in racy outfits. Rock star David Navarro and Nine Inch Nails were just some of her many followers. Christine’s family tells TMZ … she had been hospitalized since December after battling with alcohol-related issues. Christine — who famously feuded with Tila Tequila’s crew and built a brand that included a clothing line — had tried getting help but to no avail. She died at the hospital surrounded by family. Her funeral was last week.
RIP ForBiddeN – you will be missed.
