The United States is reeling after the death of George Floyd on May 25 and protests have been happening in American cities over the past week. To show solidarity, various celebrities have joined protests or voiced their support for protestors on their online platforms.
From Ariana Grande and singer Halsey to Michael B. Jordan and others, stars that we know and love have shown that they’re willing to stand up for what’s right and that the future of America and all of its citizens matters to them. Singer Halsey stated that she was injured after being hit with a rubber bullet while attending the Black Lives Matter rally in Los Angeles along with singer Yungblud on Saturday, May 30. “This hit me through layers of fabric and for that, I am extremely privileged. At close range it would have caused serious injury,” Halsey clarified on social media. She added that she was not arrested.
