If you’ve been keeping up with the least season of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, you’re probably interesting in knowing more about Biniyam Shibre. Although we’ve gotten a few glimpses of him here and there, we haven’t yet gotten the chance to really see he and his fiance, Ariela Danielle, interact. Biniyam, who lives in Ethiopia, met Ariela well she was visiting the country on vacation. They dated for a few months, but Ariela eventually had to return to the United States. After finding out she was pregnant, she decided that she would return to Ethiopia to have the baby and be with Biniyam. 1. He’s Been Married Before
Lots of viewers were shocked when Biniyam revealed that Ariela wasn’t the first American woman he had been with. He shared that he had been previously married to an American woman who he met in Ethiopia. The couple’s relationship ended in divorce and lots of people who are close to Biniyam are worried his relationship with Ariela will end the same way.
2. He Has A Son
Biniyam’s previous marriage resulted in a son named Simon. Ironically enough, Biniyam’s ex-wife, Bria, originally planned on doing the same thing as Ariela – going back to Ethiopia to give birth. However, Bria learned that the baby was suffering from a rare condition which caused his organs to grow outside of his body. Doctors strongly urged her to have the baby in the United States, which she did. Although it looks like Biniyam was part of Simon’s life for a while, it appears that they are no longer in close content.
3. He’s Does Martial Arts
Biniyam is a very athletic person who likes to stay active. He is an MMA fighter who has competed all over Ethiopia. He is also trained in Taekwondo and got the chance to travel to Brazil to compete. It’s hard to tell whether this is his only job or if he does something else to learn money.
4. He’s A Dancer
The mat and the cage aren’t the only places where Biniyam likes to show off his moves. He also enjoys dancing and choreographing routines for other people. In fact, he and his first wife met at a club where they connected after he showed her some of his best dance moves.
5. He’s Been To The United States Before
Although Biniyam has lived in Ethiopia for his entire life, he has traveled to the United States before. When his ex-wife found out about their sons health condition, he attempted to apply for a visitor’s visa but was denied. Eventually, however, he was able to travel to the United States so the couple could have an American wedding.
6. He Wanted To Start A Youth Program
Biniyam has always been the kind of person who enjoys helping other people. After his American wedding to Bria, he wanted to return to his hometown in Ethiopia and start a program to help young people. It doesn’t look like the program was ever created, but it might be something he plans on revisiting in the future.
7. His Mom Passed Away When He Was Young
So far on the show, we haven’t gotten to learn much about Biniyam’s personal life. However, an Instagram post from May reveals that his mother passed away when he was younger. He didn’t share any of the details surrounding his mother’s passing, but it’s clear that he misses her very much.
8. He Loves Doing Calisthenics
Biniyam is in great shape, and it’s largely thanks to the intense calisthenics workouts he does. Lots of people prefer calisthenics to weight training because it helps improve flexibility and can be done without access to a gym. Biniyam often shows off his strength by lifting his body weight over cars and boulders.
9. He’s Building A Music Career
Biniyam loves to try new things and it looks like he’s not opposed to casting a wide net when it comes to career opportunities. He has decided to embark on a career in the music industry and he has recently started recording music. It doesn’t appear that he’s released anything yet, but you already know 90 Day fans are going to be all over it when he does.
10. His Nickname Is Babycool
Every musical artist needs a stage name. While some choose to keep their legal name or some variation of it, Biniyam has chosen to go with something completely new. His nickname is Babycool, although there’s no details on why he chose that name. Either way, watch out Sojaboy, there’s a new 90 Day artist on the block.
