Ashley Underwood is friends with Cohen’s wife, actress Isla Fisher. She met David at Cohen’s birthday party in 2017 where they sat beside each other. According to David, he thinks they were set up for romance by their hosts and it worked. Underwood and David became fast friends and hit it off from there but he didn’t stay long at the party. He later revealed that he left the party early to avoid spoiling what they built. Fisher starred in an episode of David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
After dating for about two years, Ashley Underwood moved in with David and his daughter Cazzie David in 2019. She joined the family with a cat named Elwood. Just like her, David is also an animal lover and has a few pets of his own.
