Adam Savage, best known for hosting MythBusters and Unchained Reaction is far from done in his career. The industrial designer and special effects designer/fabricator, actor, educator, and television personality, has built up a nice following with his video series One Day Builds on his Youtube channel Tested. The channel currently has 2.5 million subscribers and has nearly 500,000,000 views since its first video.
Savage uses his expertise to build real life movie props, run tests similar to how he did on MythBusters and educates his fans on exactly how he does all of it. In a new One Day Build Tested video, he takes Nerf’s already awesome Longstrike CS-6 sniper rifle and transforms it into something straight out of Science Fiction movie.
Not only is the rifle aesthetically superior, but Savage modifies it to shoot longer and harder. There’s even a real scope added to it. He made this as a Secret Santa gift for a lucky Imgur user. Check out how he made the custom Nerf rifle below.
