This week’s Kourtney & Kim Take New York sees the return of Khloe, who is in town for the grand opening of the sisters’DASH boutique. Scott hires a personal assistant to coordinate his new busy schedule.
Scott is offered the front cover of a national men’s magazine. It hits Scott that between his corporate work and traveling, he can’t manage on his own. He decides he needs an assistant. Scott interviews ‘Dale’and wants to hire him, provided the casually dressed and goatee’d Dale give himself a makeover.
Khloe arrives at the penthouse and immediately Kim is overcome with jealousy. While Kim and Kourtney have been bonding the last several weeks, once Khloe arrives she and Kourtney get into their own zone, leaving Kim out in the cold. Kim’s feelings intensify when Khloe and Kourtney take a walk over to DASH without inviting her.
Dale reports to work in a suit, the spitting image of the debonair Scott. Naturally, Scott digs the look. Scott gives Dale his orders for the day, which include picking up dry cleaning, taking notes at a meeting, and inputting contacts into Scott’s new cell phone. Kim overhears Scott bark out the orders and feeling sorry for Dale, calls Scott out on it. ‘If I wanted a friend, I would get a dog’Scott tells Kim.
The Khloe and Kourtney clique continues as they both dress in silly hats during last minute preparations for DASH, without asking Kim to join in the fun. Kim invites them to dinner after work but they beg off.
Scott brings Dale to the photo shoot for the magazine. He orders Dale to go out and get him boxer underwear. When Dale returns with the wrong kind, Scott belittles him in front of the staff. They have a confrontation outside and Dale quits! Scott can’t understand why Dale was upset enough to quit, telling Kim that plenty of people have assistants who they demean every day. Kim tells Scott that it doesn’t mean he has to behave that way.
The big night of the opening arrives. During the festivities, Khloe and Kourtney stick close together, at a distance from Kim. Kim confides to Scott how upset she is. Trying to help the situation, Scott lets the sisters know they’re affecting Kim. The sisters take Kim aside to talk it out, and everyone makes up.
Scott meets with Dale at a coffee shop to smooth things over. He apologizes and wants Dale to come back to work for him. Dale refuses, telling Scott he’s just an egotistical pompous ass—, and walks out. Scott’s response? He credits himself for having given Dale the backbone to tell him off.
Classic line of the night? Scott says to Kim ‘you look like you need to cheer up, can I have Dale get you a hot cocoa?’. Another new episode of Kourtney & Kim Take New York airs next Sunday, March 27 at 10pm (ET) on E! Spoiler alert: Kourtney gets a bit part on the soap opera One Life to Live and forgets her lines.
