The Peripheral cast is made up of quite a few big names in the industry. Altogether, that makes the upcoming series one to look out for. Based on William Gibson’s 2014 book of the same name, the show was created by Scott Smith.
Some of his previous projects include A Simple Plan, The Ruins, and The Burnt Orange Heresy. While the entire plot of the show isn’t clear yet, it follows the lives of Flynne (Chloe Grace Moretz) and her brother Burton (Jack Reynor). Fired from his security job, veteran marine corps Burton is temporarily replaced by Flynn.
Unfortunately, she stumbles into a ‘wrong place at the right time situation’ as she witnesses a murder. Bringing this story to life is an impressive cast that has worked on major projects in the past. Take a gander at the cast of The Peripheral.
1. Chloe Grace Moretz
Chloe Grace Moretz will be joining the cast of The Peripheral as Flynn Fisher. She’s an American actress who’s been slumming it in Hollywood since childhood. Her first onscreen appearance was in The Amityville Horror (2005), and she obviously didn’t stop there.
She’s gone on to star in a number of popular movies, including Kick-Ass (2010), Let Me In (2010), and Carrie (2013). Moretz is also quite outspoken about her support for gun control and gender equality. In fact, she has used her platform to raise awareness for a number of important causes. As she builds her career, Moretz is quickly establishing herself as one of Hollywood’s most talented and socially conscious actresses.
2. Gary Carr
Joining the cast of The Peripheral is none other than British actor Gary Carr who’ll be playing the part of Wilf. The actor himself is best known for his roles in the television series Death in Paradise and The Deuce. He was born in London in 1986 and began his acting career in 2009 with a small role in the film Klink Klank.
Since then, he’s appeared in several other films and television shows, including the series Downton Abbey and the drama film Bolden. In 2011, he was cast as Fidel Best in Death in Paradise, appearing in over 24 episodes of the show. Since 2017, he has starred as C.C. Smalls on The Deuce, an HBO series about the adult industry in 1970s New York City.
3. Jack Reynor
As mentioned earlier, the part of Burton Fisher will be played by Jack Reynor. Altogether, he’s an Irish actor who’s been in a number of films and television series. He made his film debut in the Irish drama What Richard Did.
He’s also featured in the Transformers franchise, Glassland, Macbeth, Sing Street, and Midsommar. Reynor has also appeared on the small screen in the series Strange Angel.
4. Eli Goree
Playing the part of Conner is the Canadian actor Eli Goree. He’s perhaps best known for his roles as Ricky Nash in Ballers and as Troy in Da Kink in My Hair. Goree began his career as a child actor, appearing in various commercials and television shows.
He made his TV debut in the 2006 show North/South and went on to appear in films including Godzilla and Race. Goree’s breakout role came in 2009 in the movie Da Kink in My Hair. The film was a critical and commercial success that helped launch his career. He has since appeared in a number of television series, including The 100, Legends of Tomorrow, and Riverdale.
5. Charlotte Riley
Best known for her role as Sarah Hurst in Easy Virtue, Charlotte Riley will be playing Aelita in The Peripheral. The star has also appeared in a number of stage productions, including The Priory at the Royal Court Theatre in Manchester. Here’s a juicy tidbit, the actor is married to actor Tom Hardy, and they have two kids.
6. JJ Feild
Playing the role of Lev is none other than British actor JJ Field. Some of his notable film credits include Telstar, Austenland and Professor Marston, and The Wonder Women. However, he made his film debut in the 2000 independent film Railway Children.
Since then, Feild has appeared in a number of high-profile films, including Captain America: The First Avenger. In addition to his work in film, Feild also featured in a number of television shows, including Turn Up Charlie and New Amsterdam.
Other cast members
Other actors expected to appear in this series include Alex Hernandez as Tommy Constantine, Austin Rising as Leon, Louis Herthum as Corbell Pickett, Chris Coy as Jasper, and Melinda Page Hamilton as Ella, among others.
