It’s not uncommon for children to aspire to follow in their parents’ footsteps, carving out a unique path for themselves. Luke Lesnar, son of WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, seems to be on a similar trajectory. However, it appears that he wants to jump straight into the WWE, bypassing the independent circuit or NXT. While it’s understandable, one can only hope that his father will either coach him or advise him against such a move. After all, many wrestlers have had to earn their way into the ring, regardless of their famous relatives.
Here are ten fascinating facts about Luke Lesnar that you might not have known.
1. He’s following in his father’s footsteps and plans to join the WWE.
It’s not surprising that Luke wants to emulate his famous father and potentially become a WWE legend. However, the success rate for those who enter the WWE after their relatives can be hit or miss, depending on their talent.
2. The current photo above isn’t him.
The image above is of another kid, Bryce Winkleman, who is incredibly ripped. The photo was posted on several sites before being taken down. While it’s difficult to describe Luke, he is undoubtedly bigger than some of the current wrestlers on the roster.
3. His mother was a fitness model.
Nicole McClain and Brock Lesnar were together for some time and had two children, including Luke. The couple eventually split, and Brock went on to marry former WWE Diva Sable, with whom he had two more children, making Luke a big brother.
4. He’s only 17 at this time but he’s already huge.
Luke reportedly stands at 6’4″ and weighs 200 lbs. If he’s not done growing yet, he’s going to be an absolute monster once he’s finished. His size alone would likely pique the WWE’s interest, but hopefully, he’ll have the skill to back it up since size alone isn’t enough to succeed in the ring.
5. Luke has a twin sister who doesn’t seem interested in the wrestling business.
While fans might be excited about the prospect of another Lesnar in the WWE, Luke’s sister appears to have no interest in the business and prefers to maintain her privacy.
6. A lot of the news on him still centers around his father.
This is understandable since there’s much to say about Brock and his career, while little is known about Luke at this time. As he pushes to enter the WWE, we’re likely to hear more about Brock and occasional updates on Luke’s progress.
7. There’s already a desire to see Lesnar vs. Lesnar.
The WWE would undoubtedly capitalize on a father-son rivalry storyline, pitting the two against each other to determine who is more dominant. However, given Vince McMahon’s apparent preference for Brock, it’s likely that the father would come out on top more often than not.
8. He hasn’t become a wrestler yet, as he’s just visited the performance center.
By the time he’s of legal age to make his own decisions, it’s expected that Luke will be eager to enter the wrestling world. However, it’s more likely that he’ll spend a year or two in development to ensure he’s fully prepared and minimizes mistakes.
9. Like his father, he tends to keep his personal life on the down low.
This is evident in his social media presence, which is relatively low-key compared to others who post multiple times a day to gain followers.
10. He does have several thousand followers on Instagram.
Luke has amassed a following on Instagram, but it seems that his account has been shut down. It’s unclear when or if he’ll return to social media.
