Do you know who Allison Kagan is? If you watch Alaskan Bush People, you probably already know who she is, or you have at least heard of her name. The same is true if you’re a big fan of some of the more notable reality television programs that are currently airing. If you pay attention to the credits, you just might have seen her name on something a time or two. More on that will be discussed at the end of this article, as it comes in at number 10 on this list. 1. She’s been with her boyfriend for more than a year now
That’s right, this is the Allison Kagan that has been with Bam Bam Brown, one of the stars of Alaskan Bush People. The two of them made some waves when they first got together, largely because she made him decide to leave Alaska in order to follow his heart. These days, everyone is getting along much better. Allison and Bam Bam’s mother have even become quite close with one another.
2. She likes being out on the water
She has always enjoyed spending time near or on the water. For her, being on the water is as natural as breathing, so she and her boyfriend Bam Bam frequently spend a lot of time enjoying the water, especially around the New York area.
3. She thoroughly enjoys adventure
This probably doesn’t really surprise you. She would have to be a big fan of adventure in order to get along well with Bam Bam. She frequently enjoys challenging herself to new adventures and so far, she really hasn’t found anything that she isn’t willing to do. This is one of the things that initially attracted Bam Bam to her in the first place.
4. She and her boyfriend bought an old ferry boat
You already know of her love for the water. At one point, she and Bam Bam rode an old ferry boat in New York. They both loved it and as luck would have it, they started talking about the possibility of buying a similar boat for themselves. Allison found an old ferry that had been decommissioned and was scheduled for the scrap yard. Fortunately, they were able to buy it before it was destroyed.
5. They plan to make it their home
The old ferry boat is still undergoing its transformation but when it’s finished, Allison and Bam Bam plan to make their home. This was Allison’s idea. She loves the idea of having a house that stays on the water, giving both of them the chance to enjoy something they love each and every day.
6. She is extremely self-sufficient
Some women are what you might call “high maintenance” and others are far more resourceful. She definitely falls into the latter category. She has always found a way to get over, around or through practically anything that challenged her. This is what some people call “tough.” It’s also one of her most endearing personality traits and it’s why Bam Bam has fallen head over heels in love with her.
7. She knows how to make a house a home
Just because she’s tough and she can handle herself does not mean that she isn’t capable of having a softer side to her as well. She is also in charge of decorating the ferry boat, making it truly feel like a home.
8. She loves the idea of being a part of a big family
She has blended in so well with Bam Bam’s family that it seems as though she has always been a part of the family. Even though they didn’t all see eye to eye in the very beginning, she has found a way to smooth everything over and become an integral part of the family. Everyone in the family enjoys having her there and she enjoys it as well.
9. She’s a field producer for a number of reality television shows
Professionally, she’s very successful in her own rite. She has been working on a variety of reality television shows for several years. In fact, she went from being a camera operator to being a field producer. She has about eight different shows under her belt and she has even graduated into directing a few of them.
10. She’s also a director
As previously mentioned, she has ventured into the world of directing. So far, she’s directed eleven episodes each of Alaskan Bush People and 16 and Pregnant, as well as a television movie called Submissive Wives.
