Five Pivotal Moments From iZombie Season 4

The series iZombie season 4 is one that moved into political waters but it definitely hadn’t lost its hilarity. Consider how it is possible to describe what a zombie really looks like to someone and make it serious. Would they believe you? The odds are against it and this show has a way of taking a serious topic and making it a real side splitter. Although it’s laced with humor, there is a plot and there are some pivotal moments that help to move the story along and they keep viewers glued to the screen. Here are 5 important scenes from season four.

1. Liv is coerced to give up

In this scene, Liv receives news that her coyote is set to be executed unless she gives herself up. She is faced with a very difficult decision and this pivotal scene leaves her with a terrible choice to make. Does she give in to the blackmail or does she let her collaborator die? Amidst all of the humor, this is a scene that bears nothing that is worth a laugh. It gives us a good look at her character as she struggles to make the right decision.

2. Ravi gets sick

Ravi has been working on a vaccine. He had previously asked Liv to scratch him so he could more effectively work on a vaccine to help his lady friend. In this scene we see him getting sick and Liv gets him home so he can lie down, but was this really the right thing for him to do? This is one of the hottest burning questions that has been generated in the fourth season. What will happen to Ravi? Will he actually be successful in creating a vaccine and will it change the direction that the show will take in the future? These are questions that still remain unanswered. Perhaps they never will be, but it’s something that viewers have to speculate upon, although nobody really agrees that it was a wise decision on his part.

3.Chase Graves death

This is a pivotal scene that opens with Liv strapped to a chair with duct tape over her mouth. She must watch as the guillotine slowly rises into its execution position. This is a tense moment when the team is fighting through the crowd to open the door that will give them access inside to stop what is about to happen. All Liv can do is sit there and watch the grisly scene take place. As they burst through the doors it seems that they will be able to stop the execution, but the next scene shows the lever being pulled and the blade coming down to sever his head. It is Liv who pulled the lever while the rest look on in horror.

4. Liv’s brains cause issues

Liv is embarrassed by her forwardness in “Don’t Hate the Player, Hate the Brain.” She can’t seem to control the sexual urges of the woman who’s brain she had eaten and it makes her come on strong without remorse or shame while it’s in control of her thoughts and actions. This is a scene that gives us an idea of what we can expect to see from Liv in the future. While most of these scenes are side-splittingly hilarious, when Liv is back to herself, it’s quite humiliating. Could this have implications for the future that is even more dangerous? What is the extent to which the brains that Liv eats can control her thoughts and actions? It’s going to be interesting to find out. It certainly does leave room for some potentially great plot twists.

5. Finale

In the final episode of the season, Liv is set to leave, thinking that it’s all useless. She just wants to go away where nobody knows her. In the final episode, she walks out of the room to find that the lobby is filled with an adoring group who gives her a loud round of applause. It’s the perfect ending that lets her know that running away would not be the right thing to do.
