Jodi Lyn O’Keefe is a model and actress that has been performing in television and movies for many years now. Although she’s probably best known for series like Prison Break and Nash Bridges, she has multiple credits to her name. 1. She’s a New Jersey native
While people that aren’t from New Jersey like to make fun of the state, those that are from there are extremely proud of it. She’s no exception and is more than happy to tell anyone that cares to ask that she is from Cliffwood Beach, New Jersey.
2. She was a child model
She started modeling jeans at the tender age of eight. This is where her career basically started, as she continued to get modeling and acting work thereafter.
3. She temporarily quit school
When she was a junior in high school, she had the opportunity to star on the soap opera Another World. Obviously, she couldn’t go to school in New Jersey and film a soap opera that taped in Los Angeles, so she temporarily quit school in order to make her dreams come true. She later finished school by taking a correspondence course.
4. She landed her first major role as a teenager
When she was still a young teenager, she was cast as a regular on Nash Bridges. She remained on the show until it was cancelled in 2001.
5. Her first movie was a cult classic
The first major movie role that she had was in Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later, which was released in 1998. To this day, many fans automatically associate her with the Halloween franchise.
6. She bases certain characters on her personal experiences
When she is asked to play a character that is completely different from her own personality, she thinks of someone that she is known who had a similar similar personality type and then bases the character on that individual. She has previously stated that doing this allows her to tap into virtually any character, because she can always find something to relate to in order to make her performance more genuine.
7. She loves a challenge
You might think that it would be difficult to play a role that is nothing like the person who is acting, but she says that these are her favorite kinds of roles because they challenge her.
8. She was in a music video
She starred in the music video for the 3 Doors Down song entitled Let Me Go.
9. She’s also an entrepreneur
She has her own line of clothing and a separate jewelry line, two things that she’s passionate about and loves to spend time working on.
10. She likes adventure
You might consider this to be an understatement, as she and one of her closest friends became licensed bounty hunters together. Not only did she make the decision to get this license in the first place, but she has kept it current over the years.
