If you were wondering what the Justice League looked like as kids you might want to tune in. To be quite honest they didn’t really look all that different, just younger, more vibrant in a way, and ready to take on the world. Their origins are a great deal different than their characters obviously and are fairly amusing in some ways since a couple of them very closely mirror their current roles in a few ways. The Justice League has just hit theaters and is already getting mixed reviews but the expectation that these heroes will continue to pursue their own movies in the DCEU is very high since all but one of them are being discussed thus far when it comes to moving forward.
For now though let’s take a look at the Justice League and just what the actors were like as kids.
Ben Affleck/Batman
Affleck has been acting since he was seven and his appearance hasn’t change all that much since he was younger. When he was still a kid he met up with Matt Damon and the two have been friends ever since. In fact Matt Damon is actually credited by Affleck as being the whole reason he even became an actor.
Jason Momoa/Aquaman
A lot of people know Momoa from his time spent on Game of Thrones as Khal Drogo, the big, mean Dothraki chieftain that has a penchant for pouring liquefied gold over people’s heads and ripping out people’s tongues. But believe it or not this Hawaiian-born actor studied Marine Biology early in life, which is kind of funny now that you think about it.
Ezra Miller/The Flash
Ezra has been in a few films before this one and has been pretty convincing with his level of talent. He was in We Need to Talk About Kevin as well as Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. In every part he played he’s been ultimately very convincing, and it seems that this is true of his role as The Flash as well.
Gal Gadot/Wonder Woman
It was kind of a surprise when Gadot was selected for Wonder Woman, but it was a surprise for her as well when she realized just which part she was auditioning for. This Israeli-born model isn’t just a pretty face however, since she spent two years training with Israeli special forces and is as tough as they come. She’s also been involved with no less than 4 of the Fast and Furious movies.
Ray Fisher/Cyborg
It’s funny to think that Ray Fisher was drawn to drama on a bet. He’s been more of a theater player up to this point, though he did manage to land a role as Muhammed Ali which is pretty impressive. This is his first full-length film however despite his brief cameo in Batman vs. Superman. With his own standalone movie rumored to be coming he’s no doubt going to be a big draw for the DC universe eventually.
Henry Cavill/Superman
It kind of sounds like the DC universe was trying to keep Cavill out of the blue suit for a while since he auditioned for the role in Superman Returns but was replaced by Brandon Routh. He’s been in such films as Immortals and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and done great, but his fan base is still a little shaky when he plays the man of steel.
Amy Adams/Lois Lane
Adams didn’t even want to be an actor, she wanted to dance. However things tended to happen that eventually put her on the right track to becoming a movie star and eventually she found her way into the role of a lot of girls’ dreams, the love interest of Leonardo DiCaprio in Catch Me If You Can. Since then her career has been steadily climbing.
I kind of doubt that any of the actors mentioned above ever had an inkling they’d come this far, but here they are. So far the Justice League movie is getting good and bad reviews, but hopefully will be seen as another step towards an epic journey in the DCEU.
