It would very likely be insensitive and quite wrong to say something like ‘here we go again’, but the feeling is that the allegations of rape, which if true are disturbing to say the least, are beginning to ramp up to epidemic levels in some cases. Taking the side of the accused sets one group of people on a person, while taking the side of the accuser tends to set another group of people on those that speak their mind. And taking a neutral stance can be just about as dangerous since it tends to make both sides think that you simply don’t care and won’t take the matter seriously unless it’s happening to someone you care about, or yourself. But taking a different look at this and refusing to fall on either side seems the safest route at times since it allows a person to look objectively at what is being presented instead of the emotional aspects of either side.
Consider all the facts before making a judgment on any case, and then act accordingly once those facts are finally revealed. And while that’s going on, here are a few things you might not know about Kristina Cohen.
5. She was in an all-girls improvisation troupe.
The name of the group is Ladies like Tea, and they tend to cover a wide area spreading their words and showing their skill. Kristina has been a part of the group for a little while and has been able to show her talent to those that are interested and display her skills now and again. It’s a good way to get noticed and despite not quite being as big as film or TV is still something fun and engaging to be involved in.
4. She’s done standup comedy before.
Improv seems to be the life of comedy at times. If you can’t make up a joke on the spot then it seems like a lot of comics would falter and have to walk off the stage to go and prepare a little more. While a lot of comedians do in fact rehearse their act in order to make certain that they can perform the way they and the audience want there are times when they just have to let things go the way they will.
3. She developed her own t-shirt line.
Kristina developed her own line at age 20 and it’s named the Ironclad Movement. She seems very involved in being an upright citizen and speaking out when she feels the need which is great. The world needs more voices that are ready to be heard and not silenced. Through her clothing line she might make a big difference in a lot of lives.
2. Has accused Ed Westwick of rape.
She’s accused the Gossip Girl star of a rape that happened 3 years ago and has been very detailed in how it happened. Westwick is adamant that he has never met Cohen and would never take advantage of a woman in this way but the LAPD are at this time looking into the matter.
1. She’s a writer as well as an actress.
It usually seems a good idea to have more than one skill when you’re attempting to be famous. That way you can fall back on one if the other isn’t affording you that much attention at the moment. And at the very least it gives you another job skill to make yourself worth a bit more.
The idea of rape is absolutely repugnant, but so is the idea of false accusation. If it happened then the accused needs to pay for what he’s done. If it didn’t, then now’s the time to speak. Let’s hope that the truth is found out for the sake of all involved.
