It takes a lot of time, effort, and other resources to put on a halftime show for the Super Bowl, so it should come as no surprise to learn that the performers are chosen months and months ahead of time. Recently, it has been revealed that Justin Timberlake is in the process of finalizing a deal that will see him perform at the next Super Bowl, which will be held in Minneapolis.
This is interesting for a couple of reasons. First, the last time that Timberlake performed at the Super Bowl was in 2004 at Super Bowl XXXVIII, which resulted in something of an uproar at the time. Second, it should be noted that there had been rumors that Jay-Z would be the one chosen to perform at the next Super Bowl, while Timberlake’s son Silas and Timberlake’s wife Jessica Biel would be making their appearances.
Given these two facts, it is no wonder that there has been a fair amount of interest in whether Timberlake will be performing on his own or with someone else on the stage. For the time being, it has been stated that the halftime show will be a solo act. However, it is important to note that the whole thing is still in the early stages, meaning that just because that statement has been issued now, it does not mean that it will continue to hold true for the future. After all, Timberlake has not even finalized the deal with the NFL, meaning that there is still plenty of room left for further changes as Super Bowl LII comes closer and closer.

For example, he wrote “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” because he was not just the voice actor for the lead character in Trolls but also the movie’s executive movie producer. Furthermore, he is expected to show up in Woody Allen’s Wonder Wheel, where he will be playing more of a supporting role. Summed up, Timberlake’s career is red-hot at the moment, meaning that he is an excellent choice for the Super Bowl’s halftime performer.
