It’s unclear why DeNiro was not cast in the role of Cowboy, but rumors suggest he either passed on the role or the director did not want him in the film. His involvement could have provided the star power the film needed.
8. Fox is played by two different actors.
The original actor who played Fox was reportedly difficult to work with and was eventually fired. A stand-in was used to cover up his face as much as possible before the character was killed off.
9. Tony Scott planned a remake before his death.
