Like the other 99% of couples on the show The Bachelor, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have called it quits. The best part about this? The ratings on this show are as strong as they’ve ever been and the show will likely rate even higher as Rachel Lindsay begins her quest on The Bachelorette. According to Moviefone
Higgins was the lead of the ABC dating reality series in January 2016. He chose to give his final rose to Bushnell over JoJo Fletcher (who later became “The Bachelorette). Earlier this year, rumors swirled that the couple was on the verge of a split. Higgins noted that he was looking for “wedding clarity” in 2017. That clarity seems to have resulted in breaking up.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways,” they told People in a statement. “We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.”
Support and understanding? Yes I understand you both but no, I certainly don’t support this. I think it’s a testament to how unbelievably skilled the team at ABC is that they can essentially create a show that’s legalized prostitution, have a .01% success rate with regard to couples stay together and appear to get stronger every single year. NO ONE makes it after The Bachelor is over. NO ONE. And why should they? The show is filmed over 6 weeks! Wow. Someone definitely sold their soul to the devil to make this show a hit. MTV must be pissed.
