I’ve got an idea for a new Spike TV reality show. In the same breath as a Bar Rescue or something in the “bar industry” I’d like to propose a show called “Irish Pub Regulars.” I’m not 100% sure of what the format will be but I have a couple of ideas. The first idea would be to center on a specific Irish Pub located anywhere in the U.S. The show would be a “Cheers” type format where we’ve got a “cast” of regulars and we follow their lives and mainly record a lot of their insane conversations had at the bar with either each other or with customers passing through. Do you even realize how entertaining these guys are?
Here’s my second idea. This one might work out a little bit better because there’s more of a variety. Perhaps create a show that goes from bar to bar and finds some of the most interesting characters and each show is about a particular character or bar. Naturally the show would only show highlights like insane arguments or fights over soccer. Essentially we’re looking into the hilarious world of Irish pub regulars.
