I’m sure all of you remember the movie Terminator. And I’m sure you all remember the snotty, cocky sounding psychologist Dr. Peter Silberman. Silberman also appears Terminator 2 and 3. But the real question is “who plays Dr. Silberman?” That answer is none other than Earl Boen. I can all but guarantee you never knew that name until the moment you just read that sentence. So who is Earl Boen?
Veteran character actor Earl Boen was born on November 7, 1945 in New York City. He is probably best known for his role as criminal psychologist Dr. Peter Silberman in the Terminator series. Other films which he appeared include Battle Beyond the Stars (1980), The Man with Two Brains (1983), Alien Nation (1988), Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult (1994) and Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000). Boen retired from screen acting in 2003, but continues his work as a voice actor in radio, animated series and video games.
Boen has an astounding 265 credits in his IMDB profile. His first acting gig goes all the way back to 1974. Not bad Earl. Not bad at all. At 71 years old he’s still going strong in the business. But no one will ever forget him as Dr. Silberman. Check out the original 1984 Terminator interrogation scene below:
