When we humans hunt, it’s not exactly the most exciting or intense experience to watch. Humans just stand there with a gun, cover themselves with leaves or whatever, and wait around until the animal shows up. Frankly it’s quite boring and meaningless. It’s not like an animal to animal face off where each are battling for their survival. The point is that with us, there’s much less “nature” involved than there is mechanical assistance.
When animals hunt animals or battle other animals, so much more is at stake that the experience itself is highly intense and usually action packed. For instance, have a look at this amazing video shot from an eagle’s point of view, which captures an adrenaline rush unlike any you’ve probably ever had. According to Nerdist
First, some context. These golden eagles are wrangled by Mongolian eagle hunters known as Burkitshi, of which The New Yorker estimates there are only about 50 left. Eagles in tow, the Burkitshi scan the landscape for foxes, and when they see one, they let their eagles go in hot pursuit. This time, though, they had GoPro cameras strapped to their backs, and as you’d imagine, that made for some pretty amazing footage. There’s even one point in the video where it’s paused to highlight the snarling expression made by the eagle’s prey. Yeah, it’s wild stuff.
