Is Rough Night going to be for women what The Hangover was to men? It sure seems that way. The new, raunchy bachelorette party styled film just got its first Red Band trailer and it’s gunning to be the dirtiest “girl” movie since Bridesmaids. At least that’s the impression I’m getting. The movie is starring Scarlett Johansson and Kate McKinnon. The cast also includes Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz, Ty Burrell and Demi Moore.
Rough Night follows a group of five friends who were best buddies in college and reunite to rent a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette party. Does this sound familiar to anyone? While the film doesn’t start the movie with all the women hungover and trying to retrace their steps, it’s pretty close. I mean even the title, Rough Night? I know that I’ll be 100% passing on this one but sure, I’ll be here when my wife gets back to tell me how funny she thought it was.
Actually there’s one reason for men to see this. They can use it as a bargaining chip in future talks with their partners. “Hey babe, is this what really goes on at bachelorette parties?” You can guilt the hell out of them with this flick.
