On a brand new Days of Our Lives Wednesday, it looks like the entire city is in danger. We all know that Kayla has been in a place in her life lately that’s all but good. She’s been suffering from severe issues with her family, with her health and with her job. She’s been in a place in which she is not happy, where she is not comfortable and where she never imagined herself ending up at this point in her life. However, she’s about to be thrown back into the world she once knew before everything happened with her kidnapping and her subsequent murder issues, and she’s going to love it. The problem is that it comes at the expense of many of the people who live here.
While at dinner with Finn, they are called back to the hospital because there is something going on. A number of people came into the emergency room with the same horrible symptoms, reminiscent of the flu. They are sick, and it seems that everyone is sick at the same time. It does not take long for these doctors to realize that there is more to this than they thought in the past, and that it doesn’t look like there is anything that they can do about it in the meantime. What they learn very quickly is that this is a virus that spreads quickly and it is about to kill. When someone dies from it, panic sets in and no one knows what to do. Will Kayla be able to get back to business as she’s been wanting to, or will the events of the recent past in her life make her feel as if she cannot face any more death and danger?
Additionally, who all will suffer from this virus? Will they be able to put a stop to it, or will there be other issues that creep up as the virus gets worse? Can the doctors at the hospital find a way to make sure that this does not turn into an epidemic that changes their lives forever, and for the worst?
