It didn’t originally have a place within my heart, though I took a leap of faith and flew to Germany in late 2016 to see what I would find. To be honest, I had not thought very much beyond the fact that there might be a lot of beer, dirndls and sausages. At the time, I was lost in life (experiencing a wee little existential crisis) and didn’t really know what I was going to encounter, let alone photograph. However, when I arrived, the jigsaw puzzle pieces began to fall into place.
Welcome to my “Zweite Welt” (second world) – a home away from home. My journey into this existence is only just beginning. This enchanting Bavarian winter landscape speaks of long-lost tales buried deep within the undulating tableau. Somewhere here, I have found what I have long been searching for. It unravels in a plume of tranquility from the inside out.
