“Major Crimes” Season 6: What We Know So Far

“Major Crimes” is the TNT crime drama series that is gearing up for its’ sixth season on the network. Fans will be relieved to know that the popular show has made the cut and will be back this fall. We’ve gained a sneak peek into what is coming up and here is what we know about it so far.

The network has confirmed that the show will return with its’ premiere on October 31, 2017. Unfortunately, this is Halloween, so they’re hoping that the festivities don’t interfere with viewership. If you’re home and want to be thrilled, there are promises of a premiere that will feature ample twists and turns. The series will occupy the Tuesday, 9 p.m. time slot.

What we can expect

Captain Sharon Raydor, played by Mary McDonnell, will continue to be a major focus. Now the leader of the LAPD Major Crimes Unit, she and her team will face some intense political drama that shakes them to the core of their being. The cases will become more complicate and the politics will intertwine with them even more. the drama will heat up to the point that the officers will have some real conflicts with the justice system that will make some huge changes in their priorities. These will not be positive changes, so viewers are going to have some major intensity coming their way.

Raydor has a new boss, Leo Mason, Assistant Chief. She struggles to adjust to the changes amidst additional deviations that will happen within the system itself. The rest of the team are face with a series of personal issues as they attempt to make sense of their evolving environment. We’re aware that there will be a lot of character development that takes place and we’ll get to know more about the main players as we watch them do their jobs under a load that would burden a camel. This isn’t going to be a season that will allow you to sit back and relax. It looks like a fiery season that will stir viewers up with the heavily loaded content that is being predicted for the team.

Return of the monster

If this isn’t enough, there are plans to have Phillip Stroh, played by Billy Burke, to return to the show. He is the defense lawyer that has gone off the deep end and turned into a serial killer. He gets a sick charge out of making as much trouble for the team as possible. This will add even more misery and tense moments for the already stressed crew. Execs have confirmed that he’s going to come back in a guest appearance, but for the team, he will definitely be an unwanted guest. Will they be able to finish him this time?

Who we’re going to see this season

McDonnell will be back, along with G.W. Bailey, Michaeel Paul Chan, Tony Denison, Phillip P. Keene, Raymond Cruz, Jonathan Del Arco, Kearran Giovanni, Daniel di Tomasso,Leonard Roberts, Jessica Meraz and Graham Patrick Martin.
