It’s the first week of the fall TV season, and that means premieres, premieres, and more premieres. Tonight, FOX gets scary (and funny) with Scream Queens, ABC re-introduces us to The Muppets, and CBS tries to become Limitless. Plus, along with those three series debuts, we also have the season premieres of Fresh Off the Boat, NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans, and more.
Find out what you can expect from each of tonight’s episodes below, and be sure to comment and let us know which returning show and/or new series you’ll be tuning in to watch.
Scream Queens (two-hour series premiere at 8 p.m. on FOX): The girls of Kappa House are dying for new pledges. Kappa House, the most sought-after sorority for pledges, is ruled with an iron fist (in a pink glove) by Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts). But when anti-Kappa DEAN Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) decrees that sorority pledging must be open to all students, and not just the school’s silver-spooned elite, all hell is about to break loose, as a devil-clad killer begins wreaking havoc across the campus in the special two-hour series premiere episode.
NCIS (Season 13 premiere at 8 p.m. on CBS): Gibbs fights for his life aboard a Navy hospital ship after being shot, while DiNozzo and Joanna Teague travel to Shanghai to try and take down the Calling.
The Muppets (series premiere at 8 p.m. on ABC): Miss Piggy is furious that Kermit booked Elizabeth Banks as a guest on her late night talk show Up Late with Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear meets his girlfriend’s parents, and Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons performs their new single “Roots.”
Fresh Off the Boat (Season 2 premiere at 8:30 p.m. on ABC): When Louis is forced to bring his family on a business trip to Gator World, Jessica learns the art of relaxation and Eddie takes on the “Death Roll.” Meanwhile, Evan loses his last baby tooth but isn’t ready to join the big kid club.
NCIS: New Orleans (Season 2 premiere at 9 p.m. on CBS): After a military convoy is bombed on a New Orleans bridge, Pride and the team plan a dangerous undercover operation to retrieve a stolen missile and prevent an attack on a U.S. Naval ship.
Limitless (series premiere at 10 p.m. on CBS): Brian Finch’s life takes an extraordinary turn when he uses a mysterious drug, NZT, that allows him to access his full brain capacity. However, when an NZT-related murder lands Brian on the FBI’s radar, he uses the drug in an attempt to stay ahead of the authorities long enough to clear his name.
The Bastard Executioner (10 p.m. on FX): Charges of treason are leveled against an unlikely suspect, meaning Wilkins must fulfill his duties as the new executioner.
