I decided to add an art category to this site. The reason is because while many artists out there draw amazing characters and creatures, often times they are original works and not attributed to any movies, television, or video games. However that doesn’t mean they won’t be someday. Take artist Felipe Pesantez from Deviant Art. He’s got an incredible talent for digital art and some of the more futuristic and robotic characters he’s got in his portfolio are simply awesome. I could easily see any of these in a Peter Jackson film (think District 9).
He also does speed painting, concept art, traditional art, and cartoon comics. But today I wanted to focus on his “machine” art. Throughout his galleries you can see a number of pictures that contain robots or machines that seem to look like they’re in either some kind of battle wasteland or in a factory having just been created.
Felipe’s work has received over 59,000 views and he’s been on Deviant Art for 7 years. Check out some of my favorite selections with titles below:
