Young and the Restless Characters Who Feel Like “Home”

Young and the Restless fans love who they love, and that’s what this show is all about. Who we love the most might not be who you love the most, and vice versa. That’s what makes it all so exciting. We all love certain characters, love to hate others, and dislike some, too. That’s what we love about this show. We can even like some people and not want to see them much. We can dislike some people and want to see them more. But what about the people who make the show what it is? They are the people who feel like “Home” when you’re watching. They embody all there is about Genoa City we love, hate, dislike, and wish to have in our own lives, and that’s what makes these characters home. They might not be the biggest or the best or even the most noticeable, but they bring us a feeling of home.

Jack Abbott

He’s a man who is not always good, but he’s never so bad that we cannot love him. He’s a man who has great power, but he also has another great gift. He can be kind, and he can mean it. There are other powerful men in the show who cannot be kind even when they try, but they would never pull it off. He is someone who has been around so long that it would be impossible for us to say goodbye to him, but we know the day will eventually come. We love him, and we love what he brings to the table. He’s one of our all time favorites, and he makes us feel as if we are there with him on the regular. We could see ourselves being part of his family, being around the table at the holidays, hanging out at the office with him and the family, and bickering over things that we don’t see eye to eye on. He’s home, and we love him for it.

Katherine Chancellor

Did you ever feel that she was your grandmother, and you could not do anything to disappoint her without disappointing yourself, too? She felt like that woman we all wished we had in our lives, and she was so good. We miss her so much, and we miss the days she graced our screens with her outside the box stories and her compelling life. She was everything that was so good about this show, and we loved her. She made us laugh, cry, and feel things we never did think we’d feel, and we loved her for that. We miss her, but her sparkle could never dull in our eyes. She’s the most like home to us, and we miss her.

Nikki and Victor Newman

They are so bad for one another, but they are so good together. We don’t feel as if we could watch this show if ever there was a chance that they may not be together. They are the biggest train wreck of all, but we love them so much as a result. They make us feel like we are at home when we are with them in their best moments, and they are what this city is made of. We might not want to be part of their family, but we don’t want to see them go, either.

Jill Abbott

She’s the woman we probably love the most around here. She is so good at what she does. She is so familiar to us. She has something that just works for her and her life. She makes us feel as if we are a team, a family, and a group who belong together, like we could just walk into her house at the end of a long day and she would share with us a glass of wine and a feeling of happiness. It’s a beautiful thing. She is a woman who worked her way up the ladder of life and into the rightful place in her world, and she’s not ashamed of that. She did what she had to do, and she was never ashamed of it. We love that about her, and we are not going to stop loving her. She’s home.
