Does anyone remember Will Poulter from We’re The Millers? Truth be told he was around before but he hadn’t really been in many mainstream films until 2011, the year that We’re The Millers came out. He had an extraordinarily geeky yet memorable role. Most people will recognize Poulter’s face because it leaves an imprint on your brain. It looks as though someone made him up to be the Joker and his eyebrows go straight up in that devilish kind of way. However, that’s how Poulter really looks. Another thing about him? He’s English. You’d never know it from his flawless American accent.
Why do I care about Poulter? First of all, even in the movie We’re the Millers you could tell this kid was a solid actor. But now? Now he’s been tapped by Kathryn Bigelow to have a significant role in the movie Detroit which people are expecting to be one of the biggest movies of the summer. From what I’ve seen in the trailer, Poulter looks amazing in this film as the “evil cop” or so at least that’s what we think he’ll be.
I just want to go on record in saying I think that Will is on his way to super stardom and this movie’s kind of like his “big break” in getting there. OK, I’ve said my piece. Thanks.
