It does seem like it would be tough having two famous brothers, twins no less, who were always grabbing the attention and never seeming to give their third brother all that much credit. But quite honestly J.D. Scott, the brother of Drew and Jonathan, has his own thing going and is pretty comfortable since he does help out his brothers from time to time but also pursues his own interests as well. Throughout their lives together he’s been around quite a bit and it seems as though the three brothers are pretty close. That doesn’t mean though that J.D. really gets into his brothers’ business all that much as there’s enough on his plate that he’s constantly busy and not always bound to be around as much. Despite that however they do seem like a pretty close family and do get along for the most part.
Here are a few things about J.D. you might not have known.
10. J.D. is actually his nickname.
The initials stand for James Daniel but J.D. just kind of stuck it would seem as he was growing up. You can easily admit that it’s easier to say and something like J.D. is a little quicker and rolls off the tongue where James is such a common name that just shouting it while trying to get his attention might draw two or three guys out of a crowd.
9. He’s the oldest of the brothers.
J.D. is only a couple of years older than his brothers but they’ve remained very close throughout the years and he was even chosen to be best man with his brother Jonathan at Drew’s wedding. Honestly, if that doesn’t tell you they’re close then nothing will.
8. He lives in the US as well and has a home in Las Vegas.
All of the Scott brothers were born in Canada but eventually made their way to the US. He has his own home and doesn’t share one with his brothers but he’s obviously not too far away since the family seems to like to stay close by.
7. He’s been married now for a few years.
It almost seems like the natural order to see the eldest marry first but J.D. was quicker than his brothers to find someone and settle down. They even run a Facebook page together where they schedule lectures and social media coaching.
6. J.D. was involved in entertainment before his brothers became famous.
On top of being an impersonator in Las Vegas he was also featured in a few films that he had a lot to do with. When he was younger he was quite the entertainer, though it would seem as he got older his interests changed a bit.
5. He’s impersonated several people.
One thing it seems popular for a lot of Vegas acts to do is impersonate people and some folks can make some very good money at it as they study and do their absolute best to look like, sound like, and be exactly like those that they’re trying to impersonate.
4. J.D. is a big hockey fan.
He’s a big fan of his hometown team, the Vancouver Canucks. Hockey seems like a sport that’s growing in leaps and bounds when it comes to fans. Either that or it’s just gaining prominence as the years go by.
3. He doesn’t just work for HGTV.
He’s co-hosted a radio program with his brothers and even worked for a network that allowed him to go on roller coaster rides with fans. If that wouldn’t be a dream job I don’t know what would be, of course it would require actually enjoying theme parks and extreme rides, so some folks might want to bow out before considering it.
2. He’s really into charity work.
J.D. and his brothers are very much into giving back and helping others that are suffering from poverty and/or injustice around the world. They use their platform to make this possible and help out wherever they can in whatever way possible.
1. J.D. is very active with social media.
He happens to love spending a day just responding to and letting fans know what’s been going on during his day and enlightening them as to what he’s been doing. He then interacts with them as he can in order to keep a good rapport with the people that follow him.
All in all it seems like J.D. is the Scott brother that’s a little more low key than his twin siblings and is kind of willing to take the back seat occasionally or just go off and do his own thing. He’s amassed his own following and fame and has done so with the help of his brothers and on his own so it’s easy to see that their tight-knit family is able to pull together and still create some space between one another when necessary.
