There are many reasons why a person should watch the upcoming Good Omens being delivered by Amazon, but among them are those that are about the same as any must-watch series that are for the most part ordinary and bland. Nick Offerman will be making his way into the series, so there’s one huge reason to watch, as he’s one of the funniest guys around and can deliver a line like no one else. His deadpan manner is so great that you don’t know whether to laugh half the time or to remain quiet and see what he’ll do next.
Another reason might be because it’s going to feature a rather interesting cast that have all proven themselves in other venues over the years and should be entertaining to watch. Yet one more reason is that it is a six-part series that is about the end of the world when the apocalypse is near and final judgment is just about upon us. Those types of movies are usually a lot of fun and making it into a dramatic comedy of sorts should be something that will be innovative enough to spark some interest among many viewers. One thing that usually gets people interested is anything that has to do with the end of the world. It’s kind of morbid really but people seem to enjoy seeing just how filmmakers represent the end of all things.
This particular series should be something quite special since the characters that are driving the story are an angel and a demon, two forces that throughout mythology and legend have been polar opposites and destined to be at odds no matter where they meet. In this series however they seem to be of the same mind that they’re not ready for the war to pop off as they still have more that they’d like to do. Plus, it seems that someone might have misplaced the Antichrist. It’s kind of poor form trying to start a war when you don’t have all the working pieces that are supposed to be a party to it. Not having the Antichrist for the apocalypse is almost as bad as not having the body for a funeral, you might know that someone is needed in that spot but if you don’t have them there than how in the world can you get things started?
Boy that sounded morbid. But something seems to tell me that this series is going to be bordering on the blasphemous in a most hilarious and entertaining way when it finally comes around in 2019. As of now production is moving ahead and will continue to do so this summer. Offerman and the rest of the cast are greatly excited to see the project through and to deliver it to the public when it’s time. The chances are good that this should be something that people will want to watch and will be looking forward to with each episode.
