If Star Wars and Avatar are doing it with Disney theme parks, then why not Warner Bros.? While there’s still no word on a Marvel based themed park you can bet it’s probably in the works somewhere in the world. But until we see a Marvel theme park, first fans should be delighted to know that Warner Bros. is planning a theme park that will see the likes of Gotham City and Metropolis come to life. According to CB
Warner Bros. World is currently being developed by the company, alongside Abu Dhabi’s Miral. The completely indoor park is slated to debut in Abu Dhabi in 2018. The Metropolis area of the park will have classic locations like The Hall Of Justice and Ace Of Clubs, while Gotham will feature a Joker circus and rides themed after villains like Riddler and Mr. Freeze.
Warner Bros. World will also feature sections of the park dedicated to other major properties from the entertainment juggernaut. Bedrock from Flintsones will be featured, as well as a Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo section called Cartoon Junction.
Given the park’s location I have a very strong feeling that we’ll be seeing two things. First off, high ticket prices. I have no doubt this park is going to cost a pretty penny. Second? Extravagance. Is there anything in Abu Dhabi that’s not extravagant?
