If you watched the first season then you know there’s a lot going on already. The second season will be coming out soon but as of now only the vaguest hints and well-known rumors are circulating about the show. Everyone wants to know about Jack and whether we’ll see him and Rebecca together again at some point. It’s safe to say that from this poster we’ll get to see at least a hint of happiness in the story. There will be triumphs and tragedies as well as you can see, and more than likely we’ll get to experience everything in vivid detail. The story hasn’t ended yet for Jack though so don’t get too down. The mere fact that he and Rebecca are smiling on the cover speaks of good things to come.
Randall, Kevin, and Kate will be celebrating their 37th birthdays.
The first season kicked off with all three of them celebrating their 36th birthdays. The mid-thirties are a time when you’re really starting to look back on your life and figure out what you’ve done versus what you still want to do. It’s that point in life when you need to make the decision of whether you’d like to stay where you are and keep on as you’ve been doing, or find another way to go and discover a different path. Each one of them has been on that path to discovery in some way, and in season 2 we’ll get to see just where it’s taken them.
Jack’s death will be explained.
Everyone knows by now that Jack has been dead for the entire season. The flashbacks of his life are a bit of insight into the world of the Pearsons and how they came to be as a family. The issue of how he passed away however has never been fully revealed. Thus far it’s been a lot of intrigue and mystery that has kept people on their toes and kept them watching. This season though we’ll get to find out just what happened to Jack.
There will be a before and after look at the family as it pertains to Jack’s death.
The Pearson’s have a definite dynamic that’s worked differently in regards to Jack’s death. Like any family they are different before his passing and are different after. Season two is going to take a long, in-depth look at both in order to figure out just what is going on with the family and what direction they’ll be going in.
From the poster it’s possible to divine that not a single character in the show so far is really gone, but that they will all somehow come together to form this complex mess of humanity that will be better explained and sorted out when the season airs. There will be triumph, sorrow, frivolity, introspection, and many other emotions that will go into the making of the show and the further development of the characters.
This Is Us will continue to be a favorite because it’s not about perfect people. It’s just about people.
