If you’re worried about machines taking over the world or that someday apes will evolve to the point that they wipe us out because we’re the inferior species, you might want to stop and take a look at the rat situation in the NYC subway system. I can speak from experience in telling you that if there’s a species that will dominate this planet, it’s the NYC subway rat. Anyone who’s ever been on a NYC subway platform has inevitably run into one of these massive creatures. They run all along the tracks scavenging for garbage.
For the most part you see them alone. Occasionally you’ll see a few at once. Rarely do you get to see a group. And pretty much never ever do you see these guys fighting. That’s until now. This particular squabble between two rodents took place over a perfectly good churro that was disposed of on the tracks and was likely caught on camera by someone waiting 45 minutes for the C Train.
If you decide to take 41 seconds out of your life today to watch something, let this little rat fight be it. It’ll be worth your while.
Thank you and God Bless.
