Trump Official’s Lego Batman Joke is Being Investigated by Democrats

You can make fun of the Trump administration and all its bumbling mistakes all you want but there’s a reason Trump won.  While there are many factors that led to a Trump victory, no one can argue that the Democratic party put on their best showing.  There are millions of things they could have done better and still there are millions of things they can be doing better.   What I just heard involving a Lego Batman joke is NOT something I would consider “Doing Better” by the Democratic party.

In an interview on Friday, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin made a joke about everyone sending their kids to go see Lego Batman, a movie that he helped produce. So now Senator Ron Wyden, a Democrat from Oregon, is calling for the Office of Government Ethics to investigate Mnuchin for violating ethics rules.

What movie would Mnuchin recommend right now?

“I’m not allowed to promote anything that I’m involved in. So I just want to have the legal disclosure, you’ve asked me the question, and I am not promoting any product,” Mnuchin said on Friday. “But you should send all your kids to Lego Batman.” The crowd laughed and it was clearly a joke, but Wyden has asked Office of Government Ethics Director Walter Shaub to investigate.

Of all of the things that we can spend time and money on to investigate, this is what the Democrats are calling for?  I’m sorry but if this isn’t a waste of time and resources then I don’t know what is.  There are MUCH bigger fish to fry in politics right now.  If you consider Trump’s administration to be the most corrupt in history, you might not want to add Lego Batman to the list of offenses it has committed.
