Rock You Like a Hurricane by the Scorpions came out in 1984 and 33 years later it still rocks, like a hurricane. Yeah, that was horrible, but the song is awesome and you know anytime you hear, well most times, that something is about to pop off and there’s bound to be some action, unless there’s already action and it’s about to get more intense. The point is that the song is a powerful, driving beat that can fuel the adrenaline rush you feel when you’re watching a movie or TV show that happens to be entering into a very powerful and action-packed moment. The song has been used in numerous TV shows and movies as well as video games to lend effect and give a little more veracity to the seriousness of the situation.
In other words when you hear it you know something’s about to go down.
5. Stranger Things
The inclusion of Dacre Montgomery as Billy, the troubled teen that’s just now arriving in Hawkins, was something that fans of the show were really anticipating. Unfortunately what happened, as anyone with half a brain could have seen, was that he wound up being a charismatic bully that did nothing but make people’s lives miserable after getting what he wanted. At least Max managed to put him in his place for a little while.
4. The Angry Birds Movie
So the popular game from the internet became a movie finally. It had already been a cartoon and produced mass amounts of merchandise, this was the logical next step. While the movie did kind of live up to the plot of the game it still fell just a little flat since the development of the feud between the birds and the pigs took a long time to get going, and by the time the fight was on a lot of people had lost interest.
3. Little Nicky
It’s not Sandler’s best movie, not by a long shot, but it did have just enough camp in it to make it watchable. There were a few people that had some issues with it, but seeing as how it was so goofy their complaints really didn’t matter much. As far as movies go it’s a fun one to pop in the DVD player now and again just to get a good laugh. Plus the lighter side of heaven and hell is kind of interesting.
2. Warm Bodies
That’s one way to end the zombie apocalypse I guess, though it’s a fantasy story that a lot of people probably didn’t see coming. When R, a zombie with a love interest in a human, feels his heart start beating again it eventually begins to inspire his fellow zombies to follow the same course as their hearts begin to beat as well, creating humans out of zombies in some weird reverse cure that is really hard to fathom.
1. Knight and Day
Once you get stuck in the middle of a fight between CIA agents and a person that seems intent on keeping his comings and goings a mystery you might realize your life will never be the same again. But one thing is abundantly clear, it won’t be boring.
The night is calling, I have to go…
