The Top Uses of Fatboy Slim Songs in Movies or TV

Norman Quentin Cook is an English DJ among several other things and came to prominence as Fatboy Slim in the 1990’s with his masterful use of the big beat genre. I remember the first time I saw Praise You come on TV and had to wonder just what was going on since in the video below it’s done as a street performance though it was released as a video on the various music channels. A lot of people had no idea what to think or how to react to the performance and one guy even went so far as to shut the music off. As confused as they were the people watching still wanted to see more so once the music got going again they were pleased.

It’s easy to get into Fatboy Slim’s music if you just listen.

5. Cruel Intentions-Praise You

Lies, deceit, and games of seduction and trickery are what this film is all about. Of course the end result is that someone’s life is ruined and someone else gets their revenge, which is the main point. The problem with playing games like this however is that eventually someone slips and begins to believe the feelings they’re playing at, which only makes things a whole lot more complicated.

4. Fatboy Slim-Weapon of Choice

Any chance to watch Christopher Walken is something that a lot of fans would agree is a chance worth grabbing onto. The guy doesn’t even have to speak to be a star, he’s just got that look and the moves that make him something and someone special. Of course when he does talk in movies and on TV it’s even more electrifying since he’s got the kind of charisma that’s hard to avoid.

3. She’s All That-The Rockafeller Skank

She’s All That is the epitome of a teenage drama movie with a bit of comedy added in to make it work just a little smoother. It’s amazing all the thing we think are important when we’re younger, especially a dance that we might remember for several years but in the long run of things is just another moment in our lives and not much else.

2. Sense8-Demons

This is a large scale project that is actually pretty thrilling when you think about it. Eight stranger from around the world are linked by a violent vision that eventually becomes a bond that they can’t get rid of and are desperate to figure out. The scope of this show is enormous when you really think about it and the directors have to be on top of just about everything in terms of timing and adhering to a multitude of fine details that could make or break the show.

1. Fatboy Slim-Praise You

This is the first time I can remember listening to Fatboy Slim and the first time I saw him as well. Like I said people didn’t know what to think and one guy shut off the music obviously because he thought it was ridiculous. But since the guy didn’t own the theater and obviously didn’t work there he didn’t have much say. Thank goodness for that.

His stuff is a little odd but it’s well done.
