The Beach Boys are one of the most absolutely loved bands in the world, not just the USA. Their easy, laid-back sound is something that a lot of people can listen to for days on end and never get bored or tired of. Their one song in particular, Surfin’ USA, is something you might have heard more than once during the summer months since it’s one of the most awesome songs ever created. It brings to mind warm, sandy beaches, people of all ages cavorting about having fun and enjoying the rays while just kicking back and taking full advantage of the good weather and better times. That’s probably why it’s been used in movies and TV throughout the years when someone’s about to attend a party or just have a great time.
Here are some examples of the way this song has influenced people in one way or another.
5. Surfin’ Bulldog
This gem has been traveling across the internet for a while now and while it’s not the greatest video ever produced it’s still pretty funny not to mention at least a little impressive. The squat bulldog has only a slight issue with getting the board going, but his low center of gravity no doubt helps to stay on for the duration of the ride. The only thing that can knock the dog off is stopping or going over uneven terrain.
4. Rush Hour
I’ve got to agree. You don’t touch another man’s radio unless you’re asked to do so. It’s just not done and it’s not what will endear you to a guy that already doesn’t like you. And switching over to the Beach Boys, great as they are, with someone who obviously like something that moves a little differently is not a good idea in any neighborhood. That kind of stuff can get you kicked out of the car pretty quick.
3. The Beach Boys
This is just a small part of what people envision when they think about this song, but it’s a good start. The Beach Boys have been going strong for so long that even the most recent generations that are now beginning to grow up know about them which is great. The longer a band’s name can last the more likely it is that future generations will realize just who was responsible for the music they have now.
2. Just Dance Kids
So yep, the Beach Boys managed to make it to video games as well. Just Dance Kids is a lighter version of the Just Dance video game that allows kids to get into the fun and learn the lyrics as well. This kind of game is great for just having a good time and can provide a pretty useful cardio workout if you do it right and on more than one occasion.
1. Teen Wolf
This kind of behavior isn’t recommended for anyone but it looks like a blast all the same. It’s not something you want to try on a highway or busy road however unless you have the strength and agility of a werewolf. So, yeah, just don’t try it.
Everybody’s goin’ surfin’, surfin’ USA.
