Forrest Gump
Forrest Gump is a comedy-drama film released in 1994. It is based on a 1986 novel with the same title. Gary Sinise starred as Lieutenant Dan Taylor; a Bubba Blue and Forrest’s platoon leader in Vietnam War. Apparently, Dan Taylor’s ancestors have died in every American conflict and he feels he is destined to do the same. When he lost all his legs in the war and got rescued by Forrest, he got bitter for being denied his destiny. He later regains his will to live when he joins Forrest at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. At the end of the movie, he is able to walk again using prosthetic legs, and has a Vietnamese wife.
Of Mice and Men
Of Mice and Men had a terrible box office performance but really defined Gary Sinise’s career. The American drama film is based on a 1937 novella of the same title written by John Steinbeck. The film was directed and produced by Gary Sinise himself. After the Great Depression of 1937, George Milton (Gary Sinise) finds himself taking care of a physically fit yet mentally challenged and disabled friend Lennie Small (John Malkovich). This is after they had fled from Weed, California where they had been employed as workmen. What follows is a thrilling drama filled with a lot of unexpected turns. The movie ends with George shooting up Lennie.
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
Gary Sinise stars as Jack Garrett in Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. He is a 20 year FBI veteran and commands the entire International Response Team as a Unit Chief based in Washington D.C.
