Marilyn Burns plays the lead female role of Sally Hardesty who is taking a road trip with her brother and a group of friends. When they run out of gas, they come across a house and seek help. Unfortunately, this is when they meet Leatherface, the villain of the movie. He seeks them out one-by-one committing horrific acts of torture with a chainsaw before killing them. Sally Hardesty is the only one to survive the experience when she escapes in a passing pickup truck. The final shot is of Leatherface in the middle of the road waving the chainsaw around maniacally.
