Tom Sizemore’s Latest Accusation is Unfortunately No Surprise

It would seem that 2017 is the year of sexual allegations and yet another Hollywood star is now having to face claims of sexual molestation. This time, the star in question is Tom Sizemore who has been accused of sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl on the set of a movie in an incident dating back to 2003.

The story first appeared in a post on The Hollywood Reporter. According to the post, Sizemore was forced to leave the set of ‘Born Killers’ while shooting in Utah after the child actress confessed to her mother that that Sizemore, 42 at the time, had touched her genitals while they were participating in a photo shoot.

The Hollywood Reporter claims to have interviewed a dozen people who were involved in the production of ‘Born Killers’, which was originally shot using the name ‘Piggy Banks’, and they had all confirmed that Sizemore was asked to leave the set. They also described how the incident created tension on set and had angered many of the crew.

Now 55, Sizemore has already gained a somewhat negative reputation in Hollywood due to his drug abuse and former convictions for battery against women. However, this is the first time that he has been accused of molestation.

Despite his bad reputation, Tom Sizemore has always enjoyed a steady stream of work and played major roles in many high-profile movies. Some of the movies in which he has appeared are ‘Pearl Harbor’, ‘Saving Private Ryan’, and ‘Black Hawk Down’. For 2018 alone, his IMDb page lists 15 projects suggesting that this actor is as in-demand as ever.

Previously, the allegations of sexual molestation against Tom Sizemore have remained unreported and it is only now that they are coming to light. The information has been revealed in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein rape and sexual harassment scandal. Many other historic allegations of a similar nature have also come to light within the entertainment industry in recent months.

As yet, Sizemore has not made a statement in relation to the allegations. When USA Today approached his representatives to get a response from the tough-guy movie star, they told the industry trade paper that they would not be making a comment.

However, these allegations have not come as a surprise for everyone who knows Sizemore. Charles Lago of DTLA Entertainment Group was Sizemore’s manager for approximately six years. Lago dropped Sizemore following the accusations of beating women as he was disgusted by this behavior. Lago has said that he is not surprised about the recent allegations and has also suggested that his repeated bad behavior is due to his frequent drug use.

The actress who made these accusations against Sizemore is now 26 and has chosen to remain anonymous. However, she has sought legal advice to take action against both Sizemore and her parents in relation to the incident.

The actress had just a small role in the movie but was asked to take part in a promotional photo shoot which involved her sitting on Sizemore’s knee. According to information given to The Hollywood Reporter, Sizemore then either rubbed her genitals or inserted a finger into her vagina. However, the girl was unclear at the time as to whether this was intentional or accidental.

Robyn Adamson who played the wife in the film was stood right by the actress and Sizemore during the photo shoot and she can recall the girl reacting to something at the time. She has said the little girl’s eyes went wide.

The child’s agent reported the encounter to Catrine McGregor, the casting director, and she immediately insisted on Sizemore’s removal from the project and made a formal complaint to the Screen Actors Guild.

Some of those interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter said that they had believed the claims of the girl at the time because Sizemore was considered amongst the crew as a sleazebag.

At the time of the claims, Tom Sizemore strongly refuted the allegations saying that he had never done anything to a child. The media are still waiting for a formal comment from the star now that the allegations have been made public.
