Young and the Restless fans are all too familiar with disappointing story lines. This is one soap that doesn’t have any problem bringing those to the table just as often as they bring the good ones. The problem here is that this is one show where there are so many main characters and things happening at once that it’s sometimes difficult to keep things from running together. It’s not easy to determine what’s going on when everyone is kind of working on the same things at the same time, and we get that. We get that it’s not easy to live a life where you have to keep things fresh all the time, but sometimes things just don’t work out. Check out our least favorite Genoa City story lines.
Ashely’s Miscarriage
It was almost a decade ago, but we cannot even get over this one. We miss Ash, too. She’s been gone like two weeks, and we miss her. Do you remember when she was very pregnant, and she lost her baby? She miscarried the baby, but she didn’t know it. She had no idea she was no longer pregnant, and Adam Newman worked to make sure she didn’t find out. In fact, he manipulated her so much that she thought she was still pregnant for months after her baby died and she miscarried. Aside from being a sad moment, this didn’t work for us.
For one, having been through two miscarriages — you know. You do not not know you’ve lost your baby. Secondly, by the time months have passed, you’re asking yourself why this baby is never moving and why you don’t feel pregnant anymore, why nothing in your body is changing and why you feel totally normal. You don’t know how hard this is to go through unless you’ve been through it, but it was just asinine all the way.
Baby Sully/Christian
We just want to know how Sharon thought she was pregnant, gave birth to a child, and then did not have an actual clue that her newborn baby did not have any newborn features, wasn’t small, and didn’t have that newborn look. We are just baffled that they were able to hand her a baby that was almost a month old and she didn’t question anything about it. That was where we had to draw the line with the way things were going. That was nothing short of a story that didn’t make a lick of sense for anyone. We still don’t get it, and we still don’t realize how the show thought that this might work at all. It’s not smart, it wasn’t good, and we are all still baffled by all of it.
All Things Sheila
Sheila Carter is like a cat. She lives all the time because nothing kills her. And not only that, she’s always living a life here or over on the Bold and the Beautiful without anyone wondering what is going on with her. She’s someone who came and went and came back and then went and then came back and then went, and nothing seems to take her from this show. She’s not really a bad person, but the fact that she can come and go as a dead body as much as she does is a bit strange. We are constantly baffled by this, and the show has basically worn out their welcome with this one. She’s just too much of a person who comes and goes from death, and it’s impossible for us to watch anything with her in it at this point.
There have been so many deaths of hers that we don’t know what to believe anymore. Every single time she comes back, we all just groan because we are literally over here wondering why this is happening again. And that’s true of the Bold and the Beautiful, too. She’s living two different lives with the same evil agenda on both shows, and we just don’t get where she is going with any of this. There’s nothing we understand about anything she’s got to offer, and we just as soon prefer to see her stay gone than we do to see her come back. Again and again.
