The Bold and the Beautiful is a show that really does focus almost entirely on the bold and beautiful relationships that people have with one another. It’s about love and loss, and it’s about getting what you want out of life and making it yours. There is no time for people here to get their situations mixed up with that of someone else, and we fully believe there is always time for love around here. That said, there are plenty of couples we did not see coming, some we did see coming, and some that didn’t work out. But what about those who did seem so much like they belonged together? They didn’t last, and things didn’t work out for them, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a soft spot in our hearts. These are the couples that should have been together.
Steffy and Bill
We don’t say this lightly, and we want you to know that. There is nothing about Bill that works for us in terms of him being a good partner or husband, but we have a soft spot for him because of his ability to say what he thinks and take ownership for what he wants. We don’t respect many of his choices. In fact, we question almost all of them in some capacity, but we do think that there is something to be said for the fact that what you see is exactly what you get. He’s greedy, mean, he’s manipulative, he’s a jerk, and he is always looking out for himself. He is his own biggest fan, and he is someone who deserves to be with himself and all his power and money.
But there is a little something about him with Steffy. She’s as powerful as he is, and he is someone who would bend over backward for him if she gave him a real chance. We think that they could have worked out in some way if they tried it out. She might be the one who can keep up with him and make him a match of her own. And they really might just be what the other needs — but we just don’t know in the long run.
Thomas and Caroline
They didn’t really work out in any way after all that went down between them, but we did have a very odd and nice feeling about them. Neither one of them has a big or bold personality that you need around here, but they both always seemed like the type of people who will do anything to make themselves seem more powerful and more engaging. They are so much alike in that manner. They both want to be accepted so much, and they both want to be the kind of people who do work out in some way, but we did have a feeling that they would have been good together if left to their own devices. Just a little bit unsure, a little bit obnoxious. We can see them spending their evenings plotting against things that work for them.
Katie and Wyatt
This is another one we approach with a bit of trepidation because we really, really, really love Wyatt and Sally. We want them to get married, have all the sweet babies, and just live their happy lives without any care for how anyone else feels about it. But, we did like him with Katie. They are so much alike in the way that they did have some issues with their siblings. They are both the siblings to a person who is all about me, me, me, and they did have some situations that were so very much alike. They always lose the one they love to their more outgoing and more abrasive, “The world revolves around me,” siblings, and we do appreciate that about them. We think they could have used that to have a very special situation in which they were able to use it to their advantage to live a very happy and fulfilling life without so much drama. But, we do like him with Sally. We still aren’t convinced Thorne is the man for Katie, though. He strikes us as all kinds of wrong.
