There is a new television series out and it’s the second new release this season by famed creator Tyler Perry. VH1’s “The Oval” has just made its premiere airing on October 23, 2019. Gayle Franklin is the daughter of the President and the First Lady. Although she is beautiful, she is very spoiled. She has a strong rebellious streak and to top that, she is also defiant and set on breaking the rules. This will create a lot of the drama that we’ll see, and it will also appeal to a younger audience.
7. The son will also present a storyline
In “The Oval,” Jason Franklin is the son of the President and the First Lady. We’ve been told that he is a troubled young man. This will create yet more directions for the writer to take the script as the series progresses. We’ve learned that the premiere of “The Oval” was viewed by over a million viewers on BET TV at 9:00 PM on October 23, 2919. This was more than the next closest new series “American Soul” which brought in 864K viewers, followed by “Boomerang” with 587K. “The Oval” received a rating of .496 from adults aged 18-49. When all was said and done, with the encores on BET, VH1, and BET Her, more than 1.5 million viewers saw the show. This is phenomenal, and the ratings looked good for Oval with its airing over three of Viacom’s networks.
