Julia Roberts has been hailed as one of the most beautiful and most classy women in all of Hollywood, but she does have her detractors as well. Throughout her career though she’s put up some amazing performances that have caused her to be one of the most well-remembered faces in the business and someone that doesn’t seem to have to work too hard to make things happen any longer. That might or might not be true but the reality of it is that Julia has certainly hit the pinnacle where scraping and scratching for roles isn’t really much of a necessity any longer since it’s more likely that producers are throwing parts at her and have been for some time. After all she’s paid her dues throughout the years and has worked as hard as she could to reach the top spot, so honestly she’s earned her accolades.

5. Erin Brockovich
It seems like a lot of people have forgotten about this movie despite the fact that it had quite the impact and was something that showed the range that Julia possesses as well as the capacity for an attitude that won’t abide quitting. The story was all about a single mother that found a serious problem in the water supply of a nearby town and then went to bat for the people by getting them all to agree to press charges against the company that had been knowingly allowing the water to be contaminated for years on end. Her role in this movie actually made a lot of people cheer her on and some even wonder at the state of her career.
4. Steel Magnolias
Shelby wasn’t the only main character in this movie but she was definitely one that drew a lot of focus since she had some serious medical issues. Despite all that she wanted to have a baby of her very own despite the doctors telling her that such a thing would likely be the end of her. But being stubborn and wanting to cling to the old-fashioned ways as many women probably would she went ahead and did it, and her life ended before her child reached maturity. The unfortunate part is that she might not have survived that much longer had never had a child, or even adopted one.
3. Stepmom
Being a stepmom is not easy. Really, that’s all that needs to be said. Taking care of another person’s child is not an easy task, especially when that other woman is working against you in a very aggressive and yet manipulative manner. Kids will gravitate towards those that take care of them but they will almost always manage to side with their natural mother in many instances. But the interesting thing is that so long as both their mom and stepmom get along they have the freedom to choose, and many kids will at least keep the peace and make their stepmoms feel welcome in their lives.
2. Larry Crowne
Teaching kids is one thing, teaching adults is another. College teachers have it rough but at the same time some of them tend to think that they’re above it all since they’ve been there and done that and can’t stand to see the next wave of people that think they know everything coming through their doors. When the average teacher stops and looks around however they might find out that the people they’re teaching aren’t too much different from them and simply want a little direction to become the people that they’re meant to be. It’s not all a grind when it comes to college so long as you find a way to make your job enjoyable.
1. Pretty Woman
This is one of those classic rags to riches stories that helped to make Julia Roberts a household name. A prostitute being picked up on the street by a rich guy is nothing new, but the fact that he didn’t want anything from her except companionship at first was kind of interesting. When that grew into a relationship that wasn’t yet based on anything but being a lovely woman to hang on his arm it got to be even more so. But when he finally showed up at her window with flowers and a sincere gesture it became the fairy tale ending that a lot of women would admit to wanting and would likely appreciate.
Julia has had a stellar career to this point and has become one of the most famous women in Hollywood thanks to the films she’s starred in and the roles that have made her seem like one of the most likable people in the world. Her career has had its ups and downs but she’s still a very classy woman that knows how to play to the masses.
