Daniel Le Lievre, 41, a former faculty member at Tuskawilla Middle School in Seminole County, Florida, was arrested on Monday, March 30, on charges of unlawful conduct involving the 13-year-old daughter of one of his former romantic partners.
According to a police report viewed by a local news outlet, Le Lievre allegedly groomed the teenager while being in a relationship with her mother.
The girl stated that she was forced to engage in intimate acts with the accused in December 2023 while she and her mother were spending time at his home.
Le Lievre was previously investigated by his school board over allegations of inappropriate behavior involving students, police said.

Le Lievre began a relationship with the victim’s mother in October 2023, according to WFLA, an NBC-affiliated TV news channel’s review of the police filing.
The victim attended the same school where Le Lievre taught, and the pair spent time alone in his classroom as well as before and after school, the report states.

He designated a drawer for the girl in his classroom, where he stored her perfume and other personal items, and made scheduling changes to have her added to one of his classes.
He also used various websites and throwaway email addresses to communicate with the teen and instructed her to delete records of their conversations, per detectives.

Authorities also detailed that it was common for Le Lievre and the victim to hug and hold hands when together.
The victim and her mother would often spend the night at Le Lievre’s.

The teenager, in a forensic interview given this February, said she was violated by Le Lievre when she used the bathroom at his residence on Christmas Eve in 2023.
The accused allegedly followed her, told her to strip down, got physical with her, and instructed her not to tell anyone.

When Le Lievre and the victim’s mother ended their relationship the next month, he informed her he had only dated her to “get close to her daughter,” police said.
Le Lievre declined to speak without a lawyer following his arrest.
He has been charged with “custodial s**ual battery” and “s**ual offense by an authority figure soliciting a romantic relationship with a student.”

According to a statement obtained by WESH 2, another NBC-affiliated news outlet, Seminole County Public Schools said Le Lievre was “placed on administrative leave due to allegations of inappropriate communications/relations with a minor on 4/26/2024 and resigned in lieu of termination.”

He is not eligible for rehire, the statement noted, adding: “The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority, and any type of behavior that undermines that safety will not be tolerated.”

According to Le Lievre’s profile on the Tuskawilla School’s website, he served in the Peace Corps and taught overseas in Samoa and South Korea before returning to South Florida to raise his family.
He is a father to two daughters.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sarah Jacas, 32, in June 2025 on multiple counts of lewd or lascivious battery and lewd or lascivious inappropriate advances, as well as a single count of statutory exploitation by an authority figure.
The arrest came after the victim spoke with deputies and alleged that Jacas, a teacher at Corner Lake Middle School, took advantage of him in 2023 when he was 14.

Jacas and the victim began having lunch together in her classroom at the start of the 2022–2023 school year “because he had issues fitting in and associating with the right crowd,” according to a copy of the affidavit for an arrest warrant.
The victim told investigators he and Jacas grew closer during these lunches, but alleged she soon began isolating him from other students.
The victim told deputies that a week before spring break in 2023, Jacas covered the windows of her classroom with active assailant curtains, laid a pillow in the corner, and got intimate with him without protection.
Jacas is awaiting trial after being released on a $19,000 bond following a brief stay in local jail.
Le Lievre, meanwhile, is being held without a bond.
