The supercut of blockbuster movies from 2017 is a small piece of what life has to offer via the cinema, since these scenes and stories are but drops in the vast, metaphorical bucket that is the world and existence that human beings know and understand. Our hopes, dreams, and imaginations are embedded in each frame and given life by the men and women that play their parts in each picture that is designed to bring forth a various array of emotions. Movies tend to change by the year and as a result so do our feelings towards them, and thus so do the trends that result as people continue to give feedback and opinions about what they are seeing.
This year we’ve seen quite a few movies come and go and within each season there have been notable films that have done fairly well and some that have exceeded expectations. The beginning of the year was a bit shaky as it always is since we never know what’s going to come, despite the knowledge of the movies coming out, and therefore have to just hope that our expectations will be met and/or exceeded. Come spring however we’re already in a frame of mind that the new crop of movies are either heralding what should be an awesome year or are hoping that things will eventually start to look up.
By summer the movie season is in full swing since school is out and the box office numbers are expected to soar. This past summer wasn’t anything too terrible but it didn’t really live up to everyone’s expectations either until near the end, when one of the absolute best horror movies came out and shocked everyone. IT created a new standard in horror that might be long in being topped since this current rendition of Stephen King’s classic novel blew everyone away as it invaded the screen. After that however things tended to die down a bit as we went into fall, where we currently sit now awaiting the dreary days of winter and the next run of movies that are already being anticipated.
Throughout the year the movies are hyped, released, and then hyped again in order to up their numbers and earn them a little more acclaim. How they perform in the box office is always dependent on the fans and how moviegoers tend to look at the different movies, but so far as the awards they earn go, well, I won’t go into that because it’s an argument that a lot of people feel a certain way about.
2017 is nearing a close within this month and the movie scene is just about up. So far we’ve seen a host of movies that have wowed us and taken our breath away. We’ve seen movies that have touched us and possibly made us cry. Whatever emotion you’ve let run loose at the movies it’s been a wild ride this year despite the fact that summer wasn’t all that great. The best movies have made up for that however and have made this year a good memory in terms of the cinema.
