The sport of mixed martial arts has gotten a lot of attention lately as UFC 207 approaches along with the highly anticipated return of Ronda Rousey. After being on top of the sport, she has spent the year recovering from her defeat and other issues that arose from the fight. Her return is a part of a great card of fights during UFC 207, which her bout with reigning titleholder Amanda Nunes will act as the headliner.
The entire UFC 207 event can be live streamed, even without cable. There are different services that you’ll use for each section of the fights. One of the services to note is the new service DIRECTV NOW offered by AT&T, which will be helpful during the prelim matches. More details can be found on it below.
The Only Way to Stream the Main Card is Through Pay-Per-View
You don’t have many options for the main card of fights, which includes the Rousey vs. Nunes bout. It’ll be a can’t miss fight, and it has caused plenty of controversy leading up to the fight. The controversy went so far as to even include Wendy Williams, who is not often known for her UFC commentary.
Having only one option is much better than it used to be when it was impossible to even stream UFC fights if they were only broadcast by pay-per-view. You don’t need to sign up through your cable provider either, you can go right online and sign up for your live stream there. The fight costs $59.99 from pay-per-view.
Stream the Early Prelims on UFC Fight Pass
UFC Fight Pass will be the only place you can watch the early prelims. This is a service for the true UFC fan and only costs $9.99 per month. There’s live fights being aired all the time including some exclusive events only available to subscribers. Plus, there’s a huge on-demand fight library, so you’ll always have something to watch.
Watch the Prelims on Several Services
There are a couple different ways to watch the prelim card. The fights will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 so all you need to do is find a service that’ll let you live stream that channel. There’s a few out there and here are some details on each:
DIRECTV NOW: The newest streaming service on the market, DIRECTV NOW, offers an FS1 live stream. It’s one of the over 60 channels included in the starting package of the service. The price for DIRECTV NOW is $35 per month, which might seem expensive until you take a look at the quality of the channels you’re getting for that price. The best way to decide is to test it out yourself, which you can with a weeklong free-trial.
Sling TV: This is another streaming service, but Sling TV has been on the market for much longer. And, it’s much cheaper than DIRECTV NOW with a starting price of $25 per month for the Sling Blue package. That gets you over 40 streaming channels including FS1. There are also other starting packages on Sling TV, including Sling Orange, that feature other channels like ESPN.
PlayStation Vue: Sony’s foray into the streaming service has gained some serious traction over the last year. The starting price falls right in between the previous two at $29.99 per month. As does the channel package with over 50 channels available to start. Like DIRECTV NOW both FS1 and ESPN channels are available in the starting package, so there’s plenty of other sporting events available to live stream. Learn more about PlayStation Vue here.
That’s all you need to know in order to live stream every single fight during UFC 207. The Rousey vs. Nunes fight is clearly the biggest draw, but great fights can be found throughout all three cards. Don’t forget to have your streaming setup all sorted out before the 30th when the fight takes place!
