We’re pretty consistent when it comes to our Stephen Colbert coverage. We like to have one or two daily videos from The Late Show so that people who were asleep when the show aired can get caught up. However, Monday’s are usually dry on the Colbert front because his show is never newly aired on weekends. However, we got us a nice treat from Stephen Colbert this weekend. The Late Show host attended a benefit for the Montclair Film Festival in New Jersey and things got a little “weird.”
Wouldn’t you know it, Colbert graced the audience with his presence by doing a cover of The Talking Heads’ “Once in a Lifetime.” P.S. this is an incredible song in its own right which I happen to like best when it’s used in the movie Down and Out in Beverly Hills.
The crowd goes wild when Colbert comes on but it’s just so much more than that. Colbert includes the kind of spazzy dancing the Talking Heads front man David Byrne does. It’s truly a spectacle and for those who are suffering some Late Show withdrawal, this is the perfect thing to hold you over until tonight.
Enjoy Colbert David Byrning it out below.
